Its a wine club. Mixed cases etc.
Telemarketers still get paid for completed calls otherwise it wouldn't be worth it. They're paid to wade through a database. All they need is 30-60 seconds of your time to market their product and they've done their job weather you buy or not. Hanging up, wasting time and missing calls will only put you to the back of the queue. If you want to get off their database, just tell them to list you as "Do not call".

I received a call from this number a few days ago but missed the call. I was in the process of checking the number out on this site when they called again.
They advised they are the NSW Wine Society sell boutique cellar door wines at genuine discount prices.
Being a wine drinker, and always out to save money, I gave them a go.
My wine arrived within 5 days and I have thus far sampled 2 bottles with great delight.
The wine is absolutely delicious and a great price.
I'll be happy to deal with them again in the future.
I felt that I needed to let people know that these people are not scammers. They are an Australian company and from the research I have done, they seem to be very reputable.

Just searched this number as it was a missed call on my mobile and unknown to me. Now I realise it is the Hunter Valley Centre for The NSW Wine Society, a club I have been a member of for many years. All of the negative and derogatory posts on this site are untrue. I will continue to buy wines from the society for as long as I can. The fine print on the bottom of this website reads: "2013 Reverse Australia - We assume no responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, quality, completeness, usefulness or value of anything on this site." Read the fine print - idiots.... all of you

I have been a member of NSW Wine Society for 20 years or more. I understand that you say they call you all the time. I cant believe that. It might be another wine club. I hardly ever receive calls.

I have found they are very persistent in marketing their wares and also they use different phone numbers to do so. You block one and another springs up. I have said to ring me next month and that has been taken as an order as an email comes with a case of wine.
I will say that some of the wine is of good taste.

Have blocked this number but they still seem to keep calling. Keep ringing during working hours and have asked them to take me off their call list - NSW wine society. Unfortunately I made the mistake of entering a competition a few years ago - something I hardly ever do. Big mistake

I have NSW Society a dozen times to remove me off their list. My partner even told them to stop calling me. They stopped calling me for a couple years & now they are harrassing me again. i have sent emails & left messages. Something needs to be done

They have just called me and hung up as soon as I answered. I have not even bought wine or any service from them. I also have a private number. Not happy!

After persistent calling over a year or two and expressing NO interest in purchasing, have just found that NSW Wine Society have debited my account o the tune of 190.00 dollars WITHOUT authorisation. After several calls to the 1300 number I had a consultant return my call and explain that they send me an email (which they did not as I have searched my entire email account for it) which confirmed a purchase. I was then advised that if I did not want the wine to not accept the delivery and only then would they refund the money ! I am sure this is not entirely legal and have a good mind to report them to Fair Trading

NSW Wine Society. Sell good wine and a good price but you need to make it VERY CLEAR and get email confirmation that you only want to receive wine when you call and order it and to NOT SEND REPEAT ORDERS and to never send wine and charge you for it unless authorise it with them from a call you initiate. They send you out wine, charge your credit card from original order, email you an invoice and take that as an authorisation that you wanted the wine because you read the email. So before you know it a box of wine arrives, you've been charged for it, they say you authorised it (they may ring you and even if you say you dont want anymore at the moment, they'll ask you in conversation what types of wine you like and then note that down on their computer, so if you then get hold of them to complain about sending the order they try and trick you by repeating part of your conversation with them so you doubt yourself and think 'well I remember saying that, perhaps I did make the order". The phone number above will not answer if you've received a missed call. You have to try and reach them by the number on the invoice they send so keep it handy - and it is still very hard to get them to answer although they will tell you they are there everyday etc. Never received a response by email either. Probably not worth getting involved in.

Legit call from NSW Wine Society. I joined membership a few years ago - very good organisation, not a telemarketer, rather people from the organisation itself. Good product offering - wine shipped to your door - who can complain about that.
