These guys won't take no for an answer. They keep calling and calling, and even when you swear at them and tell them exactly what you think of their scam, they keep calling until you block the number. Seriously Telstra needs to do something about these creeps. This number continues our business line and then they hang up when we answer, when we tried call back it is disconnected I've received approximately 15 calls from this number, to both my landline and mobile phone. Caller, with foreign accent, advises me each time that they are from Telstra's technical dept. The calls are unprofessional. I do not believe it is Telstra calling. I terminate call. Such a nuisance and invasion. Scam - Telstra technical department about a computer problem - hung up when I didn't respond. Starting to get these calls. 2nd one so far. i hang up long before they get to any discussion. I have now reported to Scamwatch. I might try the Telstra Guardian. Very annoying. Had 3 calls in one 24 hour period. Last one I said to wait till I turned on tape recorder. He hung up!,, Persistent male caller, possibly Indian - 6 times today to our Canberra number, but many calls on other days/nights. Will not take no for an answer, despite us telling him Telstra is not our provider. However, this number consistently shows up on our caller ID (02) 4897 2112. It time that we say too Telstra if you don't stop these caller ringing us up all the time
Charges should be brought against them for letting them use the phone to fraud us of money and ringing us up all hours of the day and night this number is one of them (02) 4897 2112 because we have a contract with Telstra and they are brake the contract because they are not protecting us from people like these fraudsters
Hi Jane. Since I've been using the Telstra Guardian I haven't had one scam call. Every now and then like now I check the number through Revers and they tell me who the people are and I noticed your comment at the top. Cheers Rob. Just had my second call in an hour from these idiots. Also calling my husbands mobile 2-3 times a day. So fed up. Why can't we report these muppets to police for harassment!! Caller with strong Asian accent said he was from Telstra and that my internet would be cut off in one hour because illegal traffic had been detected at my IP address Are you kidding me!!? Just called on Good Friday After 5pm SA!!! three calls within 2 hours: 2.00pm 2.22p.m. & 4.00p.m More persistent than wasps and probably twice as dangerous. Looking at the comments lodged, these pests have been busy this month! Like all the other comments - Indian sub continent accent (we have had male and female voices) and sounds of busy call centre. My husband (knowing it was a scam caller) asked if they could give him a number to ring back on - they hung up! For anyone who might be worried that it really is Telstra - it definitely is not. Telstra techs never do cold calls - sales people yes, but techs no. Told me that my internet would be disconnected in the next 5 days. I said ok. He asked me if I knew why and I said yes. He pushed again for the reason why it would be disconnected. I said I knew why and hung up. LOL Man called saying he is from Telstra and that they will cut off my Internet line for 5 days because my details were comprised. He asked me to logon my laptop so that he can help solve the issue. I Told him I was not with Telstra and hang up . It’s definitely a scam Rang and did not leave a message on the answering machine Fake caller definitely. I got call twice today. Please don't believe them. tell them to delete your number from their register. I am not sure how they got my number even after registering as silent line. Called saying they are from Telstra and have been watching my internet activity over the past few weeks and connection has been really bad so they were accessing my computer to fix the issue. I told them it sounds like a scam and hung up. Indian accent, lots of background noise. This number called twice. Said they were from Telstra and someone from overseas was using our internet. Asked for us to get on the computer so they could help solve the problem.
Told them no and that it was a scam and they hung up.
