When I called back this number there was a message “Optus has advised us that this number has been disconnected.”.

I called back and just get 'wrong number'

got called from (02) 4735 5007, when i answered they hang up. I blocked this number immediately.

This number has rung numerous times over the last week. When I answer they hang up. When call back it is is disconnected. I've blocked the calls.

Called by "Australian Eligibility Program" from this number (02) 4735 5007 twice. Claimed to offer tax back for household expenses to eligible single earning over 70K, couples over 80K. Second time from Michelle. Call center sounds in background.
To prove eligibility you need to answer a 1 minute questionaire (assumed identity theft scam).
Hung up both times.

Same thing, I call back and the number is disconnected. They have called 6 times today

I have received 3 calls on my mobile from (02) 4735 5007 in the past week. A woman says "This is (woman's first name) calling from the Eligibility Department. I want to inform you of grants you may be eligible to receive". The first time I went along with it until she asked for my personal details, & I suspected a scam. I told her I don't give my details over the phone & hung up. I told her this on the 2nd time she called also.
Today she called for the 3rd time, with exactly the same words. I told her I'm sick of receiving her scam calls, & that my number is registered on the National Do Not Call Registry, so she is committing a federal offence by calling it, to which she claimed she was immune from this registry. I told her "F*** off, ya b***ch", to which she replied "I beg your pardon? Do NOT speak to me like that" & became persistant, so I hung up on her.
I'm also making a complaint on the Do Not Call Registry website.

Dodgy , don't speak when answered & can't call back cause it's not connected

They keep calling me a number of times a day & its bloody annoying

has called approx every 15mins since 9.30am. number states not connected so who is calling this is a gross NUJICANCE CALL.

I was out. They didn't leave a message so I am suspicious of the callers integrity.

Who is this calling? What sort of cowardly organisation calls and withholds their identity?

Claims to be some kind of government agency and the reason you cant call back is because its an outbound call centre. Got very cagey when I questioned it
