This number rang me a number of time before I answered it. It was a guy giving a discount on termite treatment. Now I had contacted a number of peopled regarding treatment and I thought it was one of them. I made arrangements for them to do the treatment on the 15/9. Now I cannot ring them back to cancel as it states the number is disconnected.

(02) 4331 3800 JUST CALLED ME, I ANSWERED AND THEY HUNG UP AFTER I SAID HELLO.
I CALLED BACK AND IT SAYS ITS DISCONNECTED.

WHY EVEN BOTHER CALLING , MORONS WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO. SCAMMING BASTARDS

Its Promaster Pest Control and they have VERY BAD reviews on their website such as:

This company charges twice as much as my now preferred company, and i had to get them to come back as we STILL had spiders every were. And they will NOT stop calling me - at work!
I used their service, then found out i was paying twice as much, for no great results. they recommended a Termite report should be done due to some "evidence" of possible termites - report was free, so i had it done. Their report indicated "POSSIBLE" risk, and quoted me thousands for preventative treatment. Watch OUT - scare tactics only.
The other company i ha d come in confirmed no Active termites of concern - only native non-invasive ones happily living in a tree.. Not all termites are bad. But Pro-master don't bother to tell you that.

Once you are on their call list - they will not leave you alone. They call with a private number so you can't tell it's them and have to answer to find out. When you tell them your not interested, they push you. I try to be polite to the poor person calling me - they are just doing their job, but when they refuse to listen and push and harass, it's not right.
Promaster - you should be ashamed of your customer service and marketing tactics.

I've received few calls from this number, showing listed as Gosford. Now blocked.

Got a missed phone call from this phone number and they didn't leave a message back. I have been job searching and my phone details are out there which means I've had a lot of telemarketers harassing me trying to sell me things that are a complete rip-off. After reading all the comments here I doubt this is a genuine job calling me back. As somebody who is desperate to get a job it upsets me that these people take advantage of people like me who are trying to do the right thing. It sounds like it is either a telemarketer or just a bogan who likes to harass people because they have no life. Regardless both are annoying.

I was called, but the line was silent. Nobody spoke and then they hung up after about 15 seconds.

Have been getting calls from this number also. As it is on my landline, we do not pick up and they do not leave a message

This is Promaster at Gosford, if you want to make a complaint Call 4323-9111 this is the main line, they say they will take your name off but they don't

I wonder if it is possible to call forward just that number to their office number, let them put up with their own spam??

Block the number and if ever they call you in future call will come through, problem solved for job seekers.....cheers

annoying telemarketing

Numbers that get 'presented' when dialling out are often known as presence numbers and mask the real number called from, so not officially connected at an exchange. often used for marketing campaigns etc
Another company that does this is Wyndham and use a number from the Gold Coast 075512xxxx

a call from them seeming to want to sell something to do with home fire safety akarms. it was a mature aged man sounding very genuine. i told him i was on a do not call register and he said they *wash* their phone lists against the register each day and thata maybe i should check if my numbers were still listed. blah blah blah. hung up.
when i called back it was of course a disconnected number.

In her defence, how would she know you don't use your husband's name. Initially, she was following normal customer service practice in calling your Mrs Precious, which any normal person would understand.
The rest I understand as these idiots call me too.
