Told me I had won a Disney holiday then went into a scripted greeting and told me all about the holiday I had ‘won’ and all I had to pay was a couple of hundred dollars for administration

Caller ID displayed the number as (02) 4263 0050. On pick up no answer but audible background chatter and noise. After about thirty seconds or so heavily accented voice says "Hello" a few times and then they hang up. I have heard from others that this is possibly a Call Centre SCAM designed so that if you call back your landline or mobile is charges and that is how they get their money. Do Not call them back. Also that it is a SCAM run by a group under the name "Vesper Networks" apparently calling on behalf of Vodafone. Verification with Vodaphone Head Office is that they are no affiliated with these people in any way. Definite SCAM.

Caller ID displayed number as (02) 4263 0050. Audible background chatter on pick up, sounds suspiciously like a Call Centre. Google search backs this up with sites giving this number a 92% SCAM score or High Hazard/Do Not Answer. If I answer and say nothing they hang up. If I answer "Hello" the caller launches into a very scripted greeting and then sales pitch. Caller very insistent. Most often selling some sort of Solar Panel or pushing "The Government Solar Panel Rebate". Block this number or Do Not Answer.
