Caller from "Mortgage Comparison" telephoned me. Knew my name. Told the caller not to call me ever again.

Claiming to be 'mortgage compare' or 'mortgage comparison'.
Reported the call to ASIC.
Previously have received calls claiming to be 'energy compare' on (07) 4911 2890. Suspect same group undertaking the activities.
Might be legitimate however the chosen approach has more scam/phishing for personal details than anything else.

Remember to never give out personal details to any caller you do not already know.

They call and let it ring once and hang up, did not even get a chance to pick up this time.

Called me, I picked up the phone and they immediately hung up.

I have recieved 3calls from this number. When i rang back dial tone was busy and then got disconnected. SPAM!

I got a call from this number but ignored as I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know. I had got a call earlier in the day from an unknown number (02) 8318 4611) that I also ignored then blocked. It's happened a few times before with different numbers that I then block and they keep calling from another number - I assume it's the same people.

have reported to ASIC as a scam , please do not give any details to these people , It is legal to contact a person in this way about a mortgage.ASIC are investigating now

I called back number (02) 4231 4062 rang 5 times then gets disconnected automatically.

i missed call from this number .tried to ring it back was told number didnt exist

Missed a call from this number today. No message left. I don't know anyone from that area so I presume spam.

Same thing happened to me. Mortgage compare. Not sure how they got my mobile number, but I said thanks but no thanks and hung up. Blocked caller on phone so hopefully don't get another from them

I received a cold call from this number asking about mortgage comparison. As I never speak with cold callers about personal stuff he was sent packing but it raised my suspicion - more so now that the number comes up as 'not found'
