Got the same MacBook Pro message. Not sure how the scam works. I guess you have to tap on the phone number rather than dial it. Or the scammers re just really stupid.

Caller: Appeared to be from Amazon

I received a text message from 0401 183 603 stating I had ordered an Apple MacBook for the amount of $2,099.00. I did not order this I do not order Apple products after having trouble with their products previously. I rang the number (02) 4017 0252 and an Indian sounding gentleman stated he was from Amazon security and wanted me to verify my credit card number. Told him no way was I giving him my credit card number and this purchase would not work as my credit card is locked. Friend told me to hang up, he rang back 3 times, I just kept hanging up. Three of my friends told me they had received Amazon texts and voicemail messages (one of my friends does not have an Amazon account) Total Scam. Delete these messages

Claiming to have an Amazon order for a product that was not placed and to call them if any dispute. This is attempting contact to (02) 4017 0252/">(02) 4017 0252 (or (02) 4017 0252) for fraudulent activity.
