Caller said she was from Telstra and they were going to terminate my internet connection today as I was receiving viruses and causing Telstra problems. The woman then said press 1 for Telstra support and 2 for other provider. I did not press any of the numbers and as the the line was silent I hung up. Obviously another scam call. That was a few hours ago my internet is still working.

and that there was something wrong with my internet connection. i told him i didn't believe that he was from Telstra (he did give me his name and id number) which of course means nothing. When i finally got rid of him i called the number that had rung me (02) 3648 7592) to be told it had been disconnected. He made several comments that led me to believe that he had info about my phone which was coming from Telstra.

Purports to be from Telstra about viruses in my computer. I let them rant on then give them both barrels about scam callers. They hang up. Tried to call them back and get the "your call cannot be connected" msg. They can even masquerade as a local caller!

They said my internet connection would be suspended today as it had been compromised in Melbourne.

Caller said there was something wrong with our internet and we are receiving links that will cause viruses. I asked for an email address to verify that he was actually from Telstra, but it wasn't a genuine address
