I got a call at work. It took forever for the line to connect after I answered the line and then it was all call centre noise before someone spoke the name of our business. I asked who was calling, very politely and they hung up.

My landline rings with this number: (02) 0303 5858. Did not answer as this is a reverse call (chargeable to me) and know its a scam. In less than 10 seconds my mobile phone rings with this number: +386 49823179 (from Slovenia). Don't know anybody or have any business with anyone from that country. Must be a scam...again.

Just had a call from this number and had silence for a minute or 2 after I greeted and said our business name. Then finally they answered hello. They were looking for a particular business and I said politely that this was not their number. He then asked me whether we were a business or private. I answered that yes we are a business and that's when he started to have a go at me. He then got really angry with me and screamed that our number wasn't updated on google!?! He then hung up. Why couldn't he be a little bit more polite? Extremely annoying!!!!

Have had multiple calls all proclaiming that I have purchased a domain and they wish to set up a website for me. Traced the "registration" to a German based company, who from all appearances are legit. The call is not and the email address supplied was definitely spam

(02) 0300 2344 is listed as for fitser.com who I believe are a real website company but decent, large firms don't flood strangers with dodgy spam calls like this. It's more like to be the same old Indian scam call centres spoofing fitser's caller ID. I tend to get a batch of calls from 3 or 4 different places all claiming to want to make me a website (yer right! Take the deposit, show me a template Wordpress example for suckers then run with the money, more like), all within a day or two, then nothing for exactly 30 days. Gee, coincidence obviously! Today one called from a 1800 number for pigbond's email support, for starters 1800 numbers don't call YOU, they charge YOU to call THEM... it's just a spoofed caller ID. It's fun to receive the call when you're in front of a computer, check the number when you're talking to them and explain to the caller why you know it's a scam, then enjoy either their lame denials or frustrated abuse.
