for the last few days have been receiving these text to voice messages each day, last one being just then, i answered it and a woman's automated voice says 3 or 4 of my friends died this way?? tried to ring it back but it hung up almost straight away, i have a silent number as well and only close friends and family have my number so not real sure what this company/person wants...

I had unacountable calls from the above number yesterday the 29.01.2012. I was angry when I rang my landline provider Club Telco when they said they can't do anything for me. They told me to follow it up myself. I feel it time to change provider for my landline. The man who answer my phone keep me on the line for over half an hour without solution. He barely speaks English.

I've had quite a few calls from this number. They usually only ring once and hang up; I've never been able to answer their call (to find out who it is). I just can't figure out the point of ringing without waiting for us to answer. They don't talk to us or try to sell us anything. They are just a pain. What's the point?

I have received a couple of these calls now and and really angry because my phone number is silent. I am registered with 'do not call' so I'm really not impressed as these calls go on for hours. There has to be a way to have this 'idiot' nonsense stopped and quickly.I will try re-registration with 'Do-Not-Call' and see if that works. At the completion of the message I did get a follow-up message asking of I would like to 'join' up for this rubbish. I immediately hung up. I guess the best way to stop this is by being careful who you give your number to. Who knows, maybe it's a telstra lurk because everytime you ring them to complain, it is costing you for the call. More money for them...

Maybe Telestra has set up a machine to geneerate these calls to customers who have left them!! No luck when I tried faults at telestra. The calls are at any time of the day or night. Possibly some prankster who has nothing more constructive to do with his time.

to shed a little more light on the subject, it's when ppl send a txt to your landline, telstra converts it to a voice message if your homephone isnt txt compatible
