Someone sends a text saying someone is dead. You don't know who the sender is and text the sender, then phone the sender to find out, but the sender refuses to answer. Now you're thinking, The sender must be psychic. Right? Looks like a job for the law. And I don't come cheap. More fool the sender.

I'm in Tratralgon Vic at home recovering from an operation. So it is very annoying to answer the phone and no-one is there several times a day, if I don't answer I get the missed call registered too (01) 9833 9100. Telestra should actually do something about it. But as usual they are useless in their response from what I have read above.

Guys It's a talking text message if you don't believe it send a message to your home number from your mobile. Make sure you put your area code at the beginning wait a few seconds. Once it calls you listen to the whole message or delete any that are stored and after this is done press 3 to go to the settings and choose how or if you want to be contacted this way. If you receive a text it's from someone you know or its a text prank but it gives you the mobile number with the message so chances are your getting them for a reason and if someone sends the text five times or ten times then that's how many messages will be waiting when you answer the call. Not a conspiracy not spam not a ghost in the machine simply YOU not understanding the technology. Hope it helped and you can relax in the knowledge it's just a simple text sent to your home phone, and as an extra note some people won't put there name in the message as the message reads you there number do try probably assume you will know who sent it.

Got a call from this number apparently txt message from a number I don't even recognize saying "hi how are you going" which to me is a pretty ridiculous message, who would leave just that? No name, nothing. Seems extremely suspect. Never signed up for it, don't want it.

Its a Telstra service. A "talking text" delivery service. I work for Telstra and it spammed me until I answered it.

Not convinced this is a text to phone message. We don't have people send us texts that often, that I would be getting 15 IN THE ONE DAY!!! Last time this happened, the message was a "congratulations". I am not interested and I want it to finish. I understand that when connected, you get charged for the call. NOT HAPPY!!!
